Announcing the new HANNIBAL HISTORY MUSEUM

We are proud to announce the opening of the new Hannibal History Museum, with FREE ADMISSION to visitors who wish to explore Hannibal's rich history! The museum is located at 217 N. Main Street in historic downtown Hannibal. Exhibits highlight key areas of Hannibal's history, including Railroads, the Lumber Industry, Civic Improvements, Millionaire's Row, Main Street, Churches and Schools, and so much more!

An interactive display is also available in the exhibit "Hannibal through the Stereoscope: Views of the Gilded Age of the Bluff City, 1870-1903". This exhibit has a working stereoviewer and more than twenty authentic, antique stereoviews of Hannibal including one of Teddy Roosevelt making a speech in downtown Hannibal.

The museum is a work-in-progress with many additional exhibits planned and special collections currently being gathered.

Special thanks to Michael Gaines of the Hannibal Arts Council for the history panels and also to Steve Chou, noted Hannibal historian and author, who contributed the stereoview images.

We hope to see you soon at the new Hannibal History Museum!
